A novel integration of Lithium-ion batteries with other energy storage technologies is proposed. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have become a cornerstone technology in the transition towards a sustainable energy future, driven by their critical roles in electric vehicles, portable electronics, renewable energy integration, and grid-scale storage.
Therefore, the experiment data showed that power lithium-ion batteries directly affected the cycle life of the battery pack and that the battery pack cycle life could not reach the cycle life of a single cell (as elaborated in Fig. 14, Fig. 15). While marine-grade lithium-ion batteries strive for extended cycle lives, the inherent limitations of lithium-ion technology may not fully meet the longevity demands imposed by the frequent charging and discharging cycles in vessels .
The external/internal factors that affect the cycle life of lithium-ion batteries were systematically reviewed. Three prediction methods were described and compared for SOH and remaining battery life estimation.
